Marriage Certificate Attestation

Marriage Certificate Attestation, Apostille, Legalization or Embassy Attestation process varied from country to country as well as the origin of the document from different Indian state.

Some country require the Marriage Certificate to be attested firstly from the respective state’s Home Department or Regional Attestation Centre (RAC) or any other authorities which is authorized by Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), New Delhi after that it should be Attested or Apostilled by Ministry of External Affairs and finally it should be Attested by the Destination Country’s Embassy in India. If the destination country is a Hague Conventional Country, then the Apostille is the final process.

Some country like Czech Republic, Italy etc. require the translation copy of the Apostilled Marriage Certificate, but it is an option not the compulsion and it solely depends on the destination Country as well as the purpose.

Apart from above said process there are some alternate process which is more convenient, time saving and cost effective. Point to be noted that, the alternate process has some limitations and the acceptance of the document is depends on the destination country.
